What is an adult family care home?
An adult family care home is a private residence where a small number of seniors live together and receive personal care from live-in caregivers. It offers the services of a nursing home, but in the warmth and comfort of a real home.
How many residents do you care for?
White Orchid is a single-family residence that cares for just 3 to 5 residents. This small size lets us give every resident truly personal, attentive care.
Is White Orchid licensed?
Yes. Our facility is licensed by the Ohio Department of Health following a thorough inspection — your assurance that our care meets the highest standards.
What care and services are included?
We provide 24/7 nursing-home-type care, assistance with the activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming), three healthy meals a day plus snacks, help with daily routines, a garden and activities, and a warm, social home environment.
What are the rooms like?
We have three fully furnished, individually designed bedrooms. The home is built for comfort and mobility, with a walk-in shower bathroom and wide hallways and doorways for wheelchair accessibility.
Do you accommodate special diets?
Yes. Meals are fresh and wholesome, with plenty of fruit, vegetables, and a variety of meats. We are mindful of each resident's tastes and dietary needs — let us know and we'll plan accordingly.
Can family members visit?
Absolutely. Family involvement is welcome and encouraged. Visits are arranged by appointment so we can make sure your loved one and your visit get our full attention.
Do you offer respite (short-term) care?
Yes. Respite care gives family caregivers a break while their loved one enjoys a safe, comfortable short-term stay with us — ideal during travel, recovery, or simply when you need to rest.
How much does it cost?
